Napoli’s Edinson Cavani priced at 60 million pounds
August 18, 2013Napoli striker Edinson Cavani has been priced at 60 million pounds by the Naples foobtall club.
The 26-year-old Uruguay international, who scored 29 goals in 35 games for Napoli, has become one of the most sought-after players in Europe, Xinhua reports.
He has been linked with Manchester City, Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain, but Napoli club president De Laurentiis has warned any potential suitors that Cavani will not come cheap.
“We included a very high buy-out clause in his contract as we want him to stay,” he said.
“But if some nutter is willing to pay 60 million pounds, which would mean a net fee of 54 million for Napoli, we are ready to listen to the offer.”
“Let it be clear that the final decision lies with Edinson. He knows he’s respected here and that the people love him,” he said.
